With its orgins in the Caribbean the Rocou plant was called "bija" by early Caribbean Indians, thus the plants's current scientific name: Bixa. Its crimson seeds would be crushed together to make a red body paint that was considered religious and magical by many tribes. This superb sun oil contains pro-vitamin A the natural stimulator of melanin to achieve a fast copper tan.
